Following the recent public meeting John Hayes MP will lead an urgent meeting between local councillors and Delaine Buses to discuss the lack of local bus services. The meeting on Friday 1st July will address the replacement of local services in Deeping St James.
Attending the meeting will be County Councillors William Webb, Portfolio holder for highways and traffic, and Mike Exton, along with District Councillor Ray Auger, a representative from Deeping St James Parish Council and Chris Briggs, Head of Transportation at Lincolnshire County Council. Delaine Buses will be represented by Anthony Delaine-Smith.
John Hayes said “I am grateful to local councillors who have highlighted the need for accessible and frequent bus services and for accepting the offer I made at the recent public meeting to lead a delegation to meet Delaine Buses.
“I am aware of the vital importance of regular buses which are affordable and accessible in Deeping St James, and I am confident that we can work together to maintain the quality of local services. Delaine Buses are a long established and well respected local business and I am delighted that they have agreed to meet us.”
