Steve Benn – The only local candidate for Deeping St James on Thursday 5th May:
■ I live in Deeping St James with my partner and have a seven year old son. You can often see me running round the back roads (more so in the summer!) or in the local parks with my son. I work as a senior manager for a telecoms business in Peterborough.
■ I want to contribute more to the area in which I live. I am the only candidate who lives within our ward.
■ I believe the key issues to people are based around quality of life. I want to see the value in the taxes they pay, in this case the rates we pay to South Kesteven. I want to find efficiencies and pass back the savings through low council tax.
■ If I am elected I will work closely with the Town Council and Parish Councils and keep you informed of my progress on a regular basis.
■ I understand the problems faced by rural communities and will support all residents to find a solution.
■ I feel that rural areas need more visible policing.
■ I feel that any changes within a community need to be sympathetic and within keeping of our area.
■ I believe that being a member of a party enables me to better represent you, the electorate, when it comes to decisions made about the Deeping St James ward.
■ I will ensure that your interests are looked after, irrespective of party politics.
■ Please give me your support on Thursday 5th May.
